Ozone (O³) is an energized form of oxygen. Ozone is a naturally occurring component of fresh air. It can be produced either by the ultraviolet rays of the sun reacting with the Earth’s upper atmosphere, which creates the protective ozone layer, or through an electric discharge, such as lightening.
